WATERJET TECHNOLOGY
Waterjet machining is a cut above traditional technologies such as laser, plasma and EDM wire cut for a variety of reasons. Not only can abrasive waterjets cut virtually any material and thickness to close tolerances, their narrow cut and low cutting forces allow for the creation if highly intricate parts, which would be virtually impossible with conventional methods. You can even stack thin materials to increase productivity and lower costs.

Waterjet machines cut all types of materials, including hardened tool steel, aluminum, titanium, glass, stone, wood, carbon fiber, plastics and rubber, for smooth edges with no burn marks, cracking or excess burrs.

Where wire EDM may be more precise, OMAX waterjet can’t be beat when it comes to cutting speed, making cuts 10 times faster than wire EDM. Furthermore, since waterjet is a cold cutting method, there are no heat-affected zones to affect material integrity.
